The founder of the company ENVIRODESIGNS ECO LABS is Dr. K. L. ANTONY, a Chemical Engineer turned Environmental Engineer. He is a Graduate in Chemical Engineering from Thrissur Engineering College and a Post Graduate in Chemical Engineering from Cochin University of Science and Technology. He has worked in such reputed organizations viz. National Environmental Engineering Research Institute, Nagpur and Central Pollution Control Board, New Delhi.

The company has Two divisions – Laboratory Division and Consultancy Division.
The
Laboratory Division
is centrally located in the city of Kochi. The laboratory has got its own 100 KVA power transformer, 62.5 KVA generator for uninterrupted power supply, 20 KVA back-up for important test instruments and 3 KVA UPS back up for ancillary items like computer, intercom etc. The Laboratory has two sections – Chemical Section and Biological Section.
The
Chemical Section
of the laboratory has got two departments namely Wet Chemistry Lab and Residue Lab. The Wet Chemistry Lab is involved in the testing of general parameters in Water, Food, Ambient air, Stack, Soil, Solid waste, Petroleum products, Building materials etc. while Residue Lab is fully computerized and equipped with instruments for mainly Pesticide residue, Heavy Metals and Several hazardous parameters.
The
Biological Section
of the laboratory can undertake all major Microbiological Parameters related to contamination of Drinking water, Swimming pool water, Water for processed food industry, Water for ice, Food & Agricultural products, Swab, Environmental samples etc. Facility for testing is available for various parameters like E. coli, Total coliform bacteria, Faecal coliforms, Plate count, Proteolytic and Lipolytic Organisms count, Salmonella, Staphylococcus aureus, Yeast & Mould, Listeria monocytogenes, Sulphite reducing anaerobes, Shigella , Legionella etc.
The
Consultancy Divisionhas got highly qualified and experienced Chemical, Civil and Environmental Engineers along with Technical Field Staff. So far the company has designed and implemented more than 400 projects on Wastewater Treatment Systems, Air Pollution Control Systems etc. This company has also undertaken preparation of several Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) reports, Environmental Management Plans, Environmental Audits etc.
